Near Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, four armed individuals robbed an employee of a finance company of ?10 lakh.
On Monday, four unidentified individuals robbed an employee of a finance company of ten lakh rupees near Guru Nanak Dev University.
A company employee, Sharanjit Singh, was on his way to collect cash from customers when he was attacked by four armed men near the university around 9.30 am.
Dilbagh Singh, the firm’s owner, said the unidentified men robbed him of 10 lakh after injuring him with a sharp-edged weapon. He was in a hospital for treatment.
In response to the information, assistant commissioner of police (ACP-Central) Surinder Singh arrived at the scene and began the investigation. He said the victim’s statement had been recorded, and robbery charges had been filed against four unidentified individuals.
Their teams are working to identify the accused, he said.
