Queensland Police has launched an investigation into the theft of two vehicles from Bundaberg.

An 11-year-old was found in one vehicle that was stolen at Olsen’s Corner, around 10:15am.

When the police arrived, they found that the car was not locked and running.

Michael Bishop told reporters that “one of the offender’s had gotten into the car, and then instructed the victim to leave the vehicle. She did so.”

There were no visible injuries on her.

A short while later, the police found the stolen car in the adjacent suburb of Thabeban.

About 11:50am the two allegedly stole another vehicle in Redridge from a Redridge home.

According to Senior Sergeant Bishop, “Two criminals have broken into the home there. One of them was carrying a knife.”

“They have threatened to steal the car keys from the female only occupant and then fled in it.”

Two teenage boys had just stolen a car at a Maryborough home and taken it down south to Boonoroo Plains, where they then crashed it.

Police are searching for two people who fled the scene after the accident and have disappeared in nearby bushland.
